Well I wouldn't call you, or anyone who finds other blokes sexually attractive a Pervert @Capt. Drunkey simply that, whatever the reason whether it's nature, nurture or even genetics, that is the way you and a percentage of the human race feel. You may not like it and struggle against it, you may accept and embrace it but, as you say it is not 'normal' in that generally most men are attracted to women and women to men because the survival of the species, which sex is designed for, needs that to be 'normal' or the species dies out. Unusual, not normal but definitely not a pervert. A pervert is someone who gets their kicks out of molesting children, raping people, molesting animals and anything else sexual that isn't consenting or is really grotesque.

I can't claim to know what it feels like to be attracted to other men as I have simply never felt it myself but I am a firm believer that we all have to walk our own path and, we all have to deal with the hand we have been dealt in life as best we can. I do disagree with pressure groups fighting to try and somehow gain dominance for minority groups over the majority. I don't think that is ever good for any society.

That does not mean I consider myself as a lesser person. For this there are too many ‚normal‘ assholes crossing my way each day.

But one of the facts that these woke folks cannot accept is that being abnormal does not mean to be the thing we all strive to be.

Who's normal? Sexuality is the least of it. I've likely more in common with you than somebody who plays golf. Aparra there's people who self identify as normal who indulge in that particular perversion.

My nephew came out a few years ago. I just told him I had no interest in who he was screwing. The gender was moot ;)

I think it's all too easy to weaponise language. What do we mean by 'normal' or 'average' anyway? Abnormal? Well the ab prefix in English simply means 'away' just as it does in German. (Funny that given our linguistic origins 🤔) So, being precise, abnormal doesn't imply anything other than 'not the norm' as opposed to 'not normal' which has a separate, more loaded meaning.

That's why I find the language of mathematics normally tidies things up best. In calculating averages there are norms, medians, modes and ranges. In effect, a population usually has a range within which variation is entirely normal but a minority value isn't itself the norm. In human sexuality it's perfectly normal to find a range of 'pursuits' where the size of the group doesn't confer greater or lesser normality. It's just loose language about where you sit on the spectrum. Besides Dame Edna's husband is called Norm and I have my suspicions about her!

It's not affection or sexuality that bothers me but hostility and hate and the harm they do. Sexual preferences?

From what I understand as a libertarian he wants the control to be governed objectively by the law rather than subjectively by the feelings and prejudices of a politically motivated minority that has been the case thus far.

Agreed... only problem is the fucking EU are passing more laws to censor the internet, which will inevitably affect other non-EU countries also.

And as I understand it, we still adopt EU law, so unless our government specifically prevent it, these laws will also become British law too :mad:

So all the things the EU does not want you talking about will be regarded as misinformation, and therefore banned, such as Covid mortality, vaccine efficacy, climate change bollox, etc, etc. And as the laws are targeted at the internet platform providers, it will force them to be even more heavy handed with censorship to ensure they do not fall foul of the law, the fines will be truly massive. It absolutely stinks, and is something you might expect from North Korea & China, not a supposed liberal democracy.
