What does woke mean to you?

The thing about 'the N-Word' really pisses me off. If black people are going to use it in their lyrics and there happen to be white people, who for some unfathomable reason, actually like that (c)rap then it should be considered OK to use it in the context of quoting from, or singing, if you can call it that, the 'song' in question. I saw recently that some TV presenter in the states lost her job because, off the cuff, she used a line from a Snoop Dogg number 'Fo Shizzle my Nizzle' which, apparently is interpreted to mean 'For sure my friend of African descent'. If an 'artist' is going to use certain words then, in that context, they should be allowed. It's a minefield for the less than wise, white person with questionable taste in music and probably not the highest of IQ's either.

We used to call it 'hypocrisy' or 'double standards' but racism has never been the same since they fitted it with a one way valve.
