Happy to throw some in the hat. I had a big falling out with Paypal and voted with my feet, fuck'em. How else can I chip in please.
You can pay me via bank transfer & I'll PayPal it to Judd?
I would say to do that directly into @Judd Dredd's account. But getting to speak to him is proving to be harder than getting an audience with the Pope! 🙄

We made an arrangement for me to call him. When I did the line was engaged. So he was obviously ok at that point.
I've sent him a few messages since & not received a reply
But my guess is that he's still just totally disorganised, rather than laying in a ditch somewhere.
I'll keep trying to contact him.

Same as last year... I found no one willing to buy Euros and sell me British Pounds.
So I lured a dove into my house, attached the money to its neck, told it to cross the channel and find Judd ASAP.
If it gets shot down, blame Putin. He is great to blame! We blame him for everything over here. That is much fun. Our politicians abandoned all
responsibilities for it is all Putin's fault! 🤪

Cheers lads, it seems that jogging your memory was a good idea 🤗

As we went into 2025 we had approximately £80 leftover from the 2024 contributions. But there was still a shortfall of approximately £30 which Judd kindly made up.
Going into 2026 I assume we'll have very little to carryover?

Consequently, my rattling of the forum donations tin in October. Will be broadcast through Motorheads PA system! 😉

@Big Sandy PM'd me with a few excellent ideas but they could easily detract from the ethos of..."Give as much or as little as you like. And nothing at all if you're skint?"...

What's thrown a spanner in the works is the fact that the company who provide us with this platform. Are getting more & more greedy every year! 😡
Undoubtedly because they know that we are unlikely to throw the towel in after over 4yrs.

I get it, & it's just the way businesses operate. But the costs are starting to become difficult to manage.
We may have to put our resident "Squirter" out on the streets as a Gigolo? 😳 😉

I have used Ionos for web hosting projects for years and they have always been pretty good. I believe their Premium package should handle all our needs for £16 / month (£8 for 6 months), so £144 for first year and then £192 for subsequent years. How does that compare to current costs?

I can't imagine it would be too difficult to backup our existing site with all our data and move it to another provider. The only issue we may have is a short period whilst the domain name gets transferred, but we could always use a temporary domain (e.g. using .uk instead of .com) during that period.

Also for raising funds, why not set the target at the beginning of the year and show the total donations as they come in (anonymous) so we can all see the outstanding cost and therefore ensure Judd is not left out of pocket?

You know what the exact breakdown of the costs are to run the forum, whereas I don't.

I like Scrappy's idea of posting what we need to achieve (it's similar to what Big Sandy suggested to me) but I do think that contributions should remain anonymous.
I also appreciate that we don't usually find out what the costs are until a short while before our renewal date in December.
But a way around that would be to continue as we currently do i.e. I shake the tin in October. Then you tell us the total we need to achieve in December. Followed by how much you've received so far.
