Those panniers look good,but how much are they?

Sadly, £375 for the pair. I got a bit knocked off that, as I ordered them with the bike. I think they look great, but they don't hold as much as some aftermarket ones, and they aren't waterproof. I always put my stuff in bin bags inside them.

Took the Bonneville out to visit my little brother today. 60 miles of classic fun. I love how this old girl rides with the new shocks and Vincent flat bars.

I imagine the flat bars just add a little front end weight while making your chest a little less of a parachute? About 30 miles each way was my limit on the original seat with flaccid foam…..

Thanks Chas. It's a bit of a hound around the edges, but it's how I wanted it to look and it rides OK. I'll use it for a bit and then tidy the paint work up.

I think you mean 'original' rather than 'real'; well, apart from the seat, alloy rims etc! Most of the pre 2005 construction of the 'revival' model was Made in Hinckley and they didn't shake like buggery.

We all know the history with old Triumph the refusal to change and adapt to the competition and at the end they were not reliable compared to the latest Umygoolyscratchiknacker rice burner that pissed all over it, but time has given them a cult status and all bikes in my opinion have a place, I enjoyed my time with them [after re-wiring and sorting out all the problem areas] and lets not forget that not everything that had "made in Britain on it was quality, "Lucas" utter shite

Yep, just finished completely rewiring another one today. What an arse of a job. I enjoy the rebuilds but the wiring, FFS what a ball ache it is. I'm properly relieved when there's a spark when it's kicked over.
I've been really tempted by the new ones but I just don't understand all the technology so I've a garage full of 70s bikes all leaking oil on the floor (well, only a bit).
