anybody who has a 02 onwards daytona 955i maybe interested a new map. that Cooplet moto have produced. it is basically the ignition map from the MM series that Cerbs did and the Julian tune combined. i loaded it on my bike the other week and it is fucking brilliant pulls like hell from 5.5k and just goes on right to to the top. it feels much more responsive and is quite lean. if you are on FB contact Matthew Burns who di the work. you will not be disappointed. it really does feel like a different bike.
i had to change my riding my style as the power delivery is so much stronger

Don't suppose you have had it on a Dyno? my old 955i DSSA one put out 130bhp back in the day, can't remember what the torque figure was, only mod was a race can & map.

Matt said he got 154 bhp and 79 torque i think. he did all the work on a dyno right through the rev range. i have tried heaps of tunes and had the MM3 mapped on the dyno to suit my engine. but this blows it into the weeds

Wow that's a significant gain over standard!

May look him up to have a go at my race bike, or is he a Triumph specialist?

Was it yourself who commented about donating on the FB page then? I have just dropped him a line based on your recommendation.

What is the bottom and mid like? I've a Speed Triple rather than Daytona so top end is a little academic. My high barred Z1000 felt more aerodynamic, I swear. But even more roll on thump would obv be welcome

Unfortunately I don't think the map would be compatible with a Speed Triple @chas (it is the 955i you have?) I believe that the speed triple has the lower compression engine that is shared with the Sprint RS. The 'engine' section of the block in the Daytona is unique to it with a different crank, pistons, barrels, cylinder head, valves and cams than all the other 955i variants.

I can say, from experience on the Sprint RS if you want insane levels of acceleration and, as you say, you don't mind a reduction at the top end then either a big rear sprocket or a tooth or two off the front will give you that 'Star Trek warp' feeling. My Sprint was fitted with a 48 tooth rear sprocket as used on the Tiger 955i (five more teeth than the standard) and that was wilder than my Daytona is when you yanked on the throttle.

Installed the map from Matt Burns today and it does seem to have made the bike run a bit smoother, I swear the exhaust has more of a roar and also it feels like it is generating a bit more of a punch in the back when you twist the throttle hard. I did get the engine warning light come on shortly before I reached home after I had stopped to take a photo and the switched the ignition on again. I checked the error code but, being the dumbass I am, I tried to memorise it rather than taking a note of it before I cleared it, so now I'm not sure what it was but I think it was either P0342 or P0432 so it was either Cam position sensor 'A' Circuit Low or Catalyst Efficiency below threshold or, alternately I could still have it wrong and it was something else.

I like that the Map reduces the temperature at which the fan comes on down to 98 degrees to help keep the engine from cooking too. Need to take another spin to see if the Engine warning comes back on again so I can find out what the actual code was. Whatever it was though it didn't seem to affect the running of the bike at all and she was still sweet and powerful.
