It's a case of 'whatever you can afford or wish to pay' as a 'donation'. A no obligation contribution and not a subscription. For myself I can't deny that it was far from a huge contribution as I'm a little skint at the moment.

Well I gave £30 last year but Judd’s postcards from somewhere called Bora Bora made me suspicious.

The beauty of the donation system is that, even if there is enough for a trip to Bora Bora that's fair enough as we aren't paying a subscription to the site but rather gifting the creator(s) of the site as a thank you for creating the site and the donations are theirs without strings, contracts or expectations of 'ownership' involved.

I gave £20 last year but intended to only chip in £10 this year as there's at least twice as many forum members.
In the end I still chipped in £20.

£40 in two years is £35 more than I paid on our previous home in six years. I only paid the £5 once, then was never asked again.
