I do like these

I've always fancied a guzzi but never even ridden one.
I have, back in the late 90's when a Triumph was in for warranty work they gave me the Guzzi V10? demo (nobody every asked to test it) it was fecking awful! When I took it back a week later when my bike was done, the salesman at Three Cross asked me what I thought, I said, if it were that or nothing .... I'd have to choose nothing! :poop::poop::poop:

Other opinions are available of course! :censored:

They can be marmite to some billy, I have owned a few over the years and have grown to love them, as all bikes of that ilk the do require looking after PE thanks for that new link the V85 lump makes it more attractive.

I was seriously thinking of investigating the possibility of me buying one of the new Royal Enfield twins a while back. Bit concerned by the lack of power, albeit almost the same as my '69 Bonneville which was plenty back then - both the Bonnie and myself being somewhat lighter than now, and the RE also being heavier than the Bonnie, so the performance loss may be a bit too much.
Then I heard about the new Trident. A lighter bike would be just the ticket, albeit with a bit less power. Then I saw it. What a bag of shite!!:poop: Front was just about acceptable(ish). But from the fuel tank back it is total bollocks. Pillion seat is as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Bodywork useless when it rains providing little or no protection from detritus being thrown up from a wet, muddy road. And the final insult to my senses being the number plate fastened to a stick hanging limply off the back. What a let down. I wouldn't give you 50p for it!(n)
But then I saw the new 850 Guzzi V75 Special. Now that IS a thing of beauty, with sufficient power to see me through my dotage. Need a few more details about how it performs and its weight, but me likey - a lot!
Others may disagree, but as I have often said, they have every right to be wrong!:p

Me too chas.

Closest I got was fancying a stelvio when they were a new model. Went right off it when I saw all those shiny plastic bits on it mimicking chrome.

Bought a tiger 1050 instead.
When I had a CB250 K4 a Mk1 Lemon was a dream bike. It's never quite left my system

Damn this shit weather, whilst I'm not riding I'm reading the fecking interweb and watching pootube videos... now I've got a thing in my head about a Guzzi V7 🤔

I'd prefer the V7 III Anniversario as Don pictured above (and here below), but the new V7 850 Special looks very nice too.

I too like the look of the V7 850 special,it ticks the boxes, spokes, twin cylinder and a decent sized tank.
The unknown is the seat but noticed it has a lifetime guarantee, whatever that means?

My first 'big' bike was a V50 back in the 80s - loved it.

Electrics were a nightmare and in the end it threw a rod (a common fault apparently) but I loved it anyway.

Have those new V7s down as a possible post-GS bike when me old hips demand something a bit easier to get on.
