Just fired up the Windows laptop for the first time in weeks (to install Todger Tool) and, yup, frozen up and talking to itself while waiting 'to configure Windows'.********
Let us know if it pushes Spotify on you at the same time - @MartytheMartian and I have a puzzle to solve!

I've noticed that spotify is now a startup launch if ever I reboot. Think it was pre-installed on the W10 Lenovo I use but I've never opened it (I've got records and CDs and stuff) so never bothered uninstalling it but I may do now

Just uninstalled effing Spotify that indeed arrived hidden & uninvited in Windows update .....

Good to know that it was the buggers at Microsoft who plugged that Spotify in rather than some virus but bloody annoying too and I am guessing it was their 'upgrades' that also screwed my system over. Cheeky buggers!

Well I think we've made some progress on diagnosing this.
Odd that I didn't get it pushed on me.
As I said before, Ms S used to get more probs with MS updates on her Lenovov than I did on my HP - wonder if that's anything to do with it.
Anyway, @MartytheMartian , at least you know BillGates wasn't taking a special interest in just you

Disagree - a lot of city centre's something like that could work better at getting around than a car and carry more than a bike.
Can out pace a running theif and duck into little lanes.
They can fucking fly around Bangkok or Jakarta, believe me!

That may be but who is going to treat police driving them as any more than the joke they are already treated as? The police are next to bleedin' useless already unless it's attending to the needs of people glued to the roads, providing them with drinks of water and blankets to keep them warm and the thieves. muggers and all round scumbags have no fear of them.

Nowt wrong with the LE, it was one step up from a bicycle and thats good enough for coppers, give them big vehicles and they spend their time up and down motorways, I think a return to plodding along the streets and a pushbike would give them the community presence that's needed,.........oh and a few Black marias to throw the yobo's into ready for a good caning with the rubber trunchion

You know I actually agree @Don the Don that, in their day the LE was a vehicle that helped local Bobby's at a time when bicycles were the norm but those days are gone. I doubt a policeman in a Tuk Tuk would be able to really match a scumbag on a modern scooter not to mention a trailbike, quad or stolen Adventure bike. What we really need is more Police on the streets like you say and they have to have permission to crack the heads of scumbags. We need more Percy Sillitoe Policing rather than Percy Thrower.

Totally agree about their actions towards climate protesters, but I think respect is down to the attitude of the coppers and how they are deployed by their superiors rather than how they got to the scene of an incident.
If someone can get across the shopping mall quicker in one of those to taser the nutter going off on one in Boots, all the better!
