It's utter madness, if the land is used for solar panels, then we must import more food, which will come in on ships, planes or trucks, travelling vast distances, probably producing more CO2 than is being supposedly saved by solar energy. Plus nothing grows on the land covered by solar panels, so there will surely be even more carbon because it is not being absorbed by the plants and crops that would normally grow there. I would guess that there will also be an impact on the wildlife that would have depended on the plants and land.

This country will soon be mostly covered in crappy wind turbines, solar panels, houses, mosques, and tarmac
