Shit..I had a pair of them given me when I was a poor young lad still at school..They were a dark grey and two sizes too big and flip flopped all the way to school and filled up with water when it rained so I had my own paddling pool and built-in foot jacuzzi...Ahhh the bad old days..How I hate them

What strikes me with the 'electric revolution' is that, if the Sun decides to hit us with a decent burst of electromagnetic energy, and they aren't that rare, it will utterly screw the electrical network that they will rely on to recharge, assuming that the vehicles themselves aren't completely screwed as well.
