It's a similar situation with the Labour Party, they masquerade as the party of the working class, but all they do is use working class people. They restrict the ability to elevate your position and wealth, and they destroy aspiration to want to better yourself, because they need to keep you poor, and they need to stop you from free thinking, otherwise people would become conservatives. Everything the Labour Party do is an illusion, take for example university education for all, which now means the vast majority of degrees are worthless and just saddle students with huge debts, whilst brainwashing the students with Marxist propaganda, leaving most graduates unable to gain worthwhile employment. Years ago a degree, was practically a passport to a high paid, or high skilled/status, career... not anymore. Labour also opposed Grammar Schools because they worked and did provide working class children with a quality education and aspiration to better themselves, rewarding those who worked hard and behaved with some decency. Another trick they always employ is the appearance of giving stuff away for free, disguising the fact they you pay for it sooner or later (usually sooner) with higher taxes.
Labour want to keep you in your place, and be dependant upon a Labour government, whilst robbing you of your wealth and freedom. Labour are not the party for the working class, they are the party to keep you working class. The Tories will encourage aspiration, they will allow you to gain some wealth but still rob you of a lot of it.
