A different take on the Enfield, these machines are actualy in a limited production

It looks superb  If only manufacturers still produced bikes that looked like this 🤔

The motors are £5.2k ex works. As they're not importing (I've a gut they wouldn't meet specs to register as new) I reckon your best bet if you wanted one (not that I've been giving it any thought ect ect) is to buy the worst basket case Enfield you could find for a frame and logbook and register an engine change.
Styling of both the Carberry and the Musket are a bit too archly retro for my tastes but I'd build it up as a sixties looking roadster, TLS or (if you could find one 4LS) front brake rather than a disc of any description, keep the weight as minimal as you could (add lightness and simplicate) like a modern day TR6. On the TR6 ref, shame they've got the pots arranged so you need two carbs, a reversed rear head so you could have a manifold and single carb would be my preference.
If somebody has a spare 10k knocking around I'll show you what I mean :D

@Don the Don a wee question for you......
How are you finding your Enfield? Speed, pulling power etc.? I forget if you've mentioned it but what weight are you?

Reason for these questions is that I find myself contemplating selling off my Daytona and replacing it with a Bullet of some description as, if I am absolutely honest, despite the fact that I think the bike is a beautiful creature and damned powerful and sweet handling to boot it really ain't me. I'm more of a plodder, and oil soaked weirdo than a power ranger. I am thinking a big single like the bullet would be a fun alternative to my Bonnie's although I'm a little concerned that it might be a little lacking in top speed as I would like to be able to do 70mph at least. I would love a Panther sloper, Vincent Comet or a BSA single but those are a wee bit out of my range and, because of their age and rarity obviously quite expensive and time consuming to maintain and so the Enfield, despite it's origins is probably the only game in town.

Is it weird that I have this really strange hankering to have something with a kickstart too?

Last bike I had with a kickstart was my Z. I *do* miss kicking a bike to life. I don't think it strange.

Technically the rider's *ahem* mass will affect acceleration rather than top speed. I'd be surprised if you couldn't achieve 70 on a Bullet. If you buy well, there's enough demand for them that you can pass it through without any financial discomfort if you find it does not suit.

"Well" what to say @MartytheMartian , First the Bullet is the last example with a kickstart and as you are well aware are an aquired taste, I don't need to tell you they are not a Triumph and realy are old world charm, If the kickstart is your deciding factor then you will be limited to the bullet and all it's foibles and limitations, 70mph is doable as long as you don't mind losing your fillings 50-60 is were she is most comfortable, I have just had a set of shocks built to a total load of 20 stone all in because the original shocks "same as Triumph" are a compromise, also as with most bikes they have various sprocket options to suit an individual taste and comfort, and while I am talking about comfort these bikes are very comfortable especialy the C5 varient with the single saddle and/or added passenger saddle the other model with duel seat is a B5. also and this is a very good point all EFI models can be converted to carb for around £450 ish the complete kit including blanking plugs and adaptors,
But just before I end this I am going to give you a few videos showing the Bullet and the new 350 and these will give you an idea about riding the bikes and if they would suit you.

They are holding their prices well now
