I agree, but I have made them source a genuine Akra baffle as it is missing, just in case it is so loud as to get unwanted plod attention!

Yep, the Sprint ST was purchased as a non runner for a very reasonable price, the price was the driving factor as I wanted something to ride while there was little or no racing but didn't have much cash to fund it with, it is a perfectly capable motorcycle, just not my sort of motorcycle, in recent years I have mainly had naked bikes that have been sporty, the KTM is that with knobs on!

Saw one in Peebles on Monday. The bike looked sharp as KTMs do but the rider was kind of wizened mid 60s (as opposed to toned, barrel chested, virile mid 60s) and, standing next to it, helmet off, looked altogether more Bergman.
