Out for a run today, pootling along at 80 on my Bonnie and two KTM's ( I think one at least was the model pictured at the start of this thread) passed me like I was parked up! Licence loosingly powerful I think! I take it that, despite being naked, they have a cunning design to deflect the wind away from the rider as, at eighty to a 100 the wind was trying to tear my head off my shoulders where they didn't seem to suffer the same.

170 BHP at the rear wheel mate, I can do 150mph on a naked, but only for a short burst!

I was surprised how much windblast I get on the Trip, my old high barred Z1000 was more comfortable ton plus. I think it's likely as the Speedie was never designed as a naked bike, 125/30 even at short bursts is as much as I'm comfortable with.

Rather different ergonomics. The Bonnie is very sit up & beg which makes the rider a bit of a drogue shute. The KTM has an aerodynamic nacelle and you are somewhat tucked down behind the tank.
Mind you, if you were wearing a flying jacket......
