For someone who has been an atheist my entire life, I am increasing becoming more spiritual (not just whiskey 😜) as my thoughts cannot comprehend the global shit show that is taking place, leading me to believe that it is simply evil, therefore if one believes in evil then there must be an opposite 🤔

I was never spiritual in the past but, over the years, having studied Physics and philosophy and life experience has made me realise that belief in a God and inherent values of good and evil are actually less ridiculous than some of the things that are taken as 'facts' in physics and often physics theorises things that, if they were claimed about religion would be held to be patently ridiculous. In my heart I believe there is far more to 'reality' than we can even imagine and that if there is any single shred of meaning to existence then there has to be a reason why we exist and I suspect that a lot of people are going to find out just how wrong and conceited they were when their time comes. I may of course be wrong and I'll not find that out until the 'end'. One thing that I find interesting is that in the Christian church there is this idea that you can simply repent, or not even bother with that because 'God is love and he'll forgive all' but in the Gospels Jesus said, to paraphrase, 'Hardly any of you sinful fuckers will get into my Father's house'. Maybe the situation now is a celestial 'weeding out' of humanity. Personally, if I was God I'd have long since shut down the project and erased humanity.

"Oh shit" you ain't going down that road of bible bashing I hope, jesus wants me for a sunbeam the vicar wants me for a feck type of guy's, I have no reason to say that God does not exist "But" all the pious bastards on this earth that use his name in vain are some of the biggest buggerers and heathens not to mention corrupt in this world, I hope you lot ain't going down the route of Kumbya and sing songs, "hey" thats not the reason you have been learning the guitar is it?

Nope I ain't no 'Bible Basher' and I detest organised religions of any type. I do 'get' the Gospels because, put simply, that Jesus fella, whether he was the son of God, a son of God or just a man, made a lot of sense. Now most of the shit that Churches put into the mouths of Jesus and his Old Man is utter bullshit that they made up and which the Power that Be are not recorded as ever having said. Right from day one, when Christianity was getting off the ground in Rome they made so much shit up to please the Romans and be popular and they've never stopped since. The lies have persisted ever since and now, of course, the Christian Churches kiss ass to whatever is currently flavour of the month and they say things like 'When Jesus said you shouldn't shag another mans arse he was talking about it in the context of his time and it's not as if he had the powers of a, well, erm, all seeing omnipotent being, or, dare I say it, God and now let's all batter each other around the rings. God won't mind'. If anything religion is a source of evil on Earth.

I have to admit that I did have an urge about 45yrs ago to take a long hard look at Buddhism , I was at a point in my life where I needed something more than going out and getting pissed, shagging fit birds and scrapping at village discos on a weekend .....




Then I gave myself a hard slap and never thought about it again.....until just now 😳

The thing is I think that you have to choose your own path, do what you think is right and, if there is a God and he agrees with how you lived your life you'll be rewarded. On the other hand, if you follow someone blindly, because they tell you that they have the answers to all the important exams and a book of rules you should follow you prove nothing to any celestial being about your worthiness or the value of your soul and so will likely be erased altogether, sent for another go-round to try and get it right or, do not pass go and go straight to Hell.
