Well seen consultant, it's a serious injury, it's going to probably involve tissue transplant, an all day operation hopefully the tissue will take, worst case scenario is amputation if it doesn't take. It has a high chance of being successful. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. Not sure when they will operate. I'm a bit down at present but sure you lot will cheers me up. Worst part I'm in Plymouth so wife has to travel from Paignton not a million miles away but not local. She has been a star.

Not a great start to February mate! Get well soon. On the bright side and trying some encouragement, my little brother sustained a similar ladder collapse and subsequent injury. Same warnings about limb loss, infection etc. he made a full recovery and still rides his bicycle.
It freaked me out a bit, then a woman came in and said do I want DNR on my file. My mates a retired male nurse, don't Don, he said they have to legally tell you the worst outcomes. The skin flap, again dont Don, consultant spoke to me today so a bit more reassured. Be glad when it's all done and can get home.
