Unlimited fine, 2 years max inside.

Hope he gets the full stretch and leaves prison skint.

Two years is no way justice for the misery he will have caused many people either through losses and aggravation from bikes purchases, pension fraud, or loss of job. IMO justice should not be just related to the specific crime, but also by the number of people affected by it.

Totally agree, and I expect he won't get the maximum sentence either!

So Garner has walked out of court with an eight month jail sentence, suspended for two years. Barred from directorship for three years and has to pay costs of 20,000 quid. He is already bankrupt so good luck getting that. Slippery fucker.
And no doubt he hid a few £million before going bankrupt. That wont be sitting there doing nothing either. He will have had a long term plan, and be right in the middle of screwing the next bunch of people. The first i heard of him, was when he did a promotional video, with him sitting on a Norton, at the factory, in a brand new leather jacket, trying to look like a "biker". Totaly phoney bastard, i thought.

I rather doubt he has too many friends looking out for him. You will probably find sentencing guidelines are designed to keep most white collar crime out of the prison population. I think it's lenient but if he's concealed assets with his wife then the bankruptcy people can prosecute again as Boris Becker has found out.....

You might call it white collar crime but how many lives/retirements did the thieving piece of sh*t ruin. He belongs to be banged up for 10 years if that amount was stolen in a robbery they would be doing 15 to 20 years

I will never understand or accept why robbery from an individual is not a more serious crime than robbery from an organisation. Garner robbed many individuals and may have ruined their financial futures.

Went to the Norton dealer in Northampton today... I'm in love

Had a good look at the Commandos, they are absolutely beautiful machines. I sat on one to check size, and I can flat foot easily enough, and from what I could tell the riding position seems ideal for someone close to a short arse like me. The engine and exhaust sound is superb, even better than I had expected from watching videos.

I'll probably be going back next week for a cheeky test ride of a Commando and an Indian FTR... how wrong is it to plan spending an inheritance months before you're likely to get it? 🤔😳

Not wrong at all I reckon, you gotta be ready to make good use of it before all the gremlins that plague life come out of the woodwork to spend it for you on things you don't want to pay for. Who you gonna bump off if you don't mind me asking?

I do like the look of the Commando's but I'd go with a very nicely sorted original Norton Commando if I had the lolly to spare.

A Norton Commando for £69 deposit and £69 / month... or maybe even £20 deposit and £20 / month

If I had room then I'd do it and just consider it as hiring for a couple of years 🤔 - It would work out on the £69 deal as £1725 for two years, which would be less than depreciation on a new bike, then if you liked it you could buy a second hand bike for peanuts because the market would probably be flooded ;)
