Oh! it's been in the pipeline for a long time, she used to have two Shepherds, two Collies and two cats when I first got together and because we bred Siamese cats for some years she has always said that she wants another shepherd...just hope she is fit enough to cope these days, but she loves the training.
Yeah! It looks like he's going to be a big dog, the breeder's dogs are on the show scene, so he should be a good one

Apparently I'm getting a new furry mate? (project dog)

Through her contacts in the world of EBT rescue sites.
Mrs DD knows a guy who has a 6yr old male EBT.
The dog is currently left home alone for a minimum of 10hrs every day.
Consequently he's not happy & can be destructive. No shit Sherlock! 🙄

The proposed deal is that I get a key to the guys house to enable me to walk the dog & generally spend a bit of time with him.

I'm 50% delighted at the situation re having a new furry EBT buddy. And 50% pi$$ed off that the dog needs my input in the first place! 😡

It should be fun though.
Unruly EBT's that are allegedly heading for death row. Do seem to eventually come to an agreement with myself. That prevents their trip to death row 😃

Once trained, they are awesome dogs.
But you've gotta be prepare'd to put in the effort. They aren't Spaniels or labourers!

I'm happy for you mate, and the dog 😊. However I don't know the circumstances, but can't help feeling a bit pissed off that someone will benefit from your effort, when they may not deserve it? 🤔

The main point is that the dog may benefit, although I wouldn't like DD to be leading me around on a chain, well, not unless there's money in it, for me.......................

Well the little bugger arrived yesterday, long drive to Maidstone and back, but he was very good only had a scream for 15 min and then settled down for a good kip, and at just 8 weeks he is getting the hang of things already and didn't scream the place down last night which we expected, so I think he may be a clever bugger as well, his name is Oddy named after a good friend we lost a good few years ago, the cats were not to impressed but are starting to get that he's a baby and will likely take a bit of slapping to train properly.
Weighed him today, and he is 15lbs already, think he is going to be a big boy.
