Personally I don't see why the personal opinions of any member of a party should matter, Christ if the Conservatives, Labour, Liberals etc. were held to the same example they would be unelectable due to having criminals, sex pests, anti-semites etc. within their ranks. In my opinion no matter what a persons personal views are, if they haven't committed a criminal act and do not allow those views to influence their job then they should be free to hold those views. Every attempt to blacken another party's name based on what a few members or that party may have said, organisations they may have once been members of and things they said years ago is an attack on democracy.
I've noticed recently that some folks who should be on the side of Reform on Facebook are now bringing up the fact that some people standing for Reform in Scotland voted for Independence during the Indyref. It seems that, if you are for Reform you aren't allowed to have changed your opinions or affiliations where, if you are a Conservative MP and abandon your party without consulting your constituents to join Labour party that is fine because, of course, the Media want that where they sure as shit don't want Reform to get even a toehold and threaten to re-instate the democracy they have been eroding for decades.
