Unfortunately I do think it will indeed put a lot of people off. We have been conditioned ever since world war II to literally fear the 'rise of the right' and so people are literally trained to be scared of any suspicion that someone might not be liberal enough. Most people are incredibly easy to manipulate and even some mild whispers and sideways allegation will scare them into following the herd.
Can you tell that I think 99% of humans are born sheep and will follow whatever they are told by people they have been conditioned to see as their guides. The working classes are conditioned to vote labour, middle classes to vote liberal and businessmen, and the wealthy to vote Conservative and those who vote with their intellect are few and far between. It's classic divide and conquer where the Liberals, Conservatives and Labour are all actually pretty much buddies of the same class who laugh at us all while making us dance. The fix is in, has always been in, and, while Reform may well gradually build up a following I would estimate at least another four years of shite, just red rather than blue, before we have a real chance of change but I also think that things are so bad that it will probably be far too late.
I pray to God that I'm wrong but I suspect that I'm right.
