Oh, those big blocks of fireworks when you can't find the fuse too. Fry one end and bingo.
The driveway at the side of the house is 20% block paving & 80% type 1 mot sub-base (basically it's very large gravel)
It picks up seeds that become weeds way too easily.
I used liquid weedkiller on it a couple of weeks ago then we had this spell of hot weather. Consequently the weeds were dead & all had dried out to a nice straw colour. From a distance it looked like the area had a thin desert warfare scrim net over it.
Lighting a bit of it near the edge sent the lot up in seconds!
Fortunately I had water on standby

5ltrs of concentrated brick cleaner is approx £10.
Would it work at a 50/50 dilution with water?
If not, I may as well stick to liquid weedkiller.
I've also been told that bleach & salt mixed with a small amount of washing up liquid works.

Fitted a HUD (Head Up Display) to my Ford today.
It works via a combination of GPS & info gathered from the OBD2. So it's capable of telling you all sorts of data. Including coolant temperature, battery voltage, 0-62mph time, altitude & direction of travel etc etc.
You can also set alarms for when you go over a preset speed. Tell it to alert you if you exceed a preset rpm & if the water temperature goes past what you've told it is acceptable.
The image wasn't very clear when positioned directly in my line of sight. And it was also slightly distracting.
Now it's projected onto the blue tinted glass at the top of the windscreen. It's much clearer & it's safer than taking your eyes off the road ahead to look at the Speedometer
