I saw Slade at Slough Poly, just before Christmas 1971. One of the best gigs I've ever been to.

Slade were the first band I saw live, their Slade in Flame tour Birmingham odeon I was about 13. My favourite band then, now it's the Stranglers who I've seen many times.

@Flynnt20 this was t'first time I saw Lizzy. I'd never heard of em afore this night,. November 9th 1972. Ad never heard o Suzi Quatro either!
Slade were, and still are, t'best live band I've ever seen.

A highly underrated band. I used to pick up Dave Hills neighbour on the ring and ride service, only saw him once. He was a good neighbour apparently.

Feeling old now. Incredible String Band at the Usher Hall, Edinburgh in 1969/70.

I've probably seen John Martyn live more than any other artist. Obviously can't do that anymore, bless 'im.

Mainly because he gigged like a trouper

I saw Dave Hill a few times in the TAJ MAHAL restaurant in Wolverhampton, he always spoke seemed a decent chap.

Went to see them in Brum 84, police raided the place before they started and I got arrested for refusing to leave, i wanted my money back , ended up with a fine not the best night out. Never got the wreckin thing just a big punch up to music.
