BBC News - Rishi Sunak defends his plan to ban smoking for younger generation
The prime minister tells the BBC he backs the move because there is "no safe level of smoking".

I smoked from 16yrs old to 53yrs old. Everyone knows that smoking isn't good for you but that shouldn't mean the government can outlaw it.
Also, tobacco products are so highly taxed that banning smoking will leave a huge hole in the treasury's funds. Obviously the c#nts will need to claw back those funds somehow. Which will inevitably mean everyone will be hit with yet another new kinda stealth tax. Effectively meaning that non smokers will be picking up part of the bill.
I had a row years ago with some self righteous tw#t who tried to say that as a smoker I was a burden on the NHS. He continued with that accusation even after I produced "evidence" (articles from the internet) of the amount of money generated from the sale of tobacco products V's the amount of cash spent on treating smoking related disease's. The short version is that allegedly, only approx 20% goes to funding the treatment of smokers. The remaining 80% goes into the general NHS pot. Therefore all smokers should get a private room with a topless 20yr old nurse on standby 24/7
