I got whacked by my dad, mum and other older family members - and I can honestly say looking back that there was only one time that I could say I didn't deserve it!

A smack is not 'abuse' - these laws are foolish beyond belief.

But as I just said to chum who posted about this on FB, not having kids mean it isn't really an issue for me - I find if a strangers' kids are being annoying just telling them that Santa doesn't exist and that one day both mummy and daddy will die and you will never see them again shuts them up and reduces them to tears effectively enough.

I had a letter about a month ago, inviting me to take out a Mercedes-Benz extended warranty. This is a list of what isn't covered...

All warranties have exclusions. But this is quite obviously utter shite!
But it's only £804 for 2yrs of virtually non existent cover 😏

Typical, if they can't be competitive in owt else, make your own series.
A 600lb Vtwin, is never going to be able to compete with anything else, on a race track. I am pretty sure that BMW, and all of the Jap bikes, could run rings around the Yanks, in that series. They have probably been banned, because of that though. I went to an evening meet on an old airfield, a couple of yrs ago. They have a half mile drag race, for whatever you bring. £2 a blast, and they pair you up with a similar bike to whatever you are riding. I ran against 6 Harleys, and stuffed all them on my old Kawasaki. It was mildly tuned, but just air and fuel mods. But i never even took the screen off. So it was about as aerodynamic as a wardrobe.13668733_1043148369139020_6465763327388478063_o.jpg

What a joke!
Obviously there isn't enough of a leftie woke spin on the invasion of Ukraine 😏

BBC News - Ukraine war: BBC World Service granted emergency funding

This is particularly laughable 🤣

"A big demand for clear fact-based impartial journalism to counter disinformation" 🙄

Are they having a laugh at our expense?
If not, we've definitely entered the Twilight Zone 🥴

I saw one of the leftie pricks on TTF describe the BBC as "well respected" a while back. I think it was Octoberon, so I guess that explains it 🙄

Edit...
My guess at which delusional leftie, Guardian loving prick said that, was correct 😏

Didn't he join very shortly before we were either forced to leave, or chose to leave?
If so, God bless him & his delusional, leftie, woke take on the world. Unintentionally, he rescued us from the what TTF has become 😃

Oh I suspect that Putin has popped up just in time to help the BBC out of a hole they had no idea how to find their own way out of. Let's face it, when it comes to dis-information the Russians have made the BBC look like rank amateurs and seekers after truth and wisdom. I suspect that the situation with Russia and Ukraine will have changed the face of the world one way or another by the time it has played out. I have noticed recently that there have been repeated attempts by media to re-light the fires of race and LGBT etc. but no-one is interested in listening to them any more because there is a real fight going on with people who are willing to risk everything they have to defend their land and their people. Cowardly young men from the Middle East and North Africa fleeing the tyranny of France on rubber boats, and people being brave enough to tuck their balls up inside themselves in order to steal women's sporting trophies have been put in the shade and are no longer of any interest to the general public. I think 'Woke' may well be a thing of the past by the time this real conflict ends.

I hope so Marty.
I had a private conversation yesterday evening with @smib. In which we discussed how Ricky Gervais & Jimmy Carr have avoided being "cancelled"
By basically not taking the knee & giving a big "F#ck you!" to their leftie critics.

A while back, I was never a fan of either of them. I found Ricky in "The Office" very bland. And Carr's stupid (but apparently genuine) laugh didn't appeal either.

Then I checked out both of their stand up stuff. Both use humour to make folk with a sense of humour laugh. They give zero thought to who they might "offend" in the process. Which is exactly how comedy works.
Cast your mind back to the decades old Englishman, Scotsman & Irishman jokes. Or the 1970's Mother-in-law jokes.
They may not have been accurate. But they were just jokes.
If folk were "offended" by them.
At least back then they had the common decency to keep their mouths shut.

Nowadays, comedy has to tip toe around the woke agenda! 😏
If that continues, there will be no comedy ☹

Edit..
Except me.
I might still pop in with the occasional 1970's reference to N!g-nogs, p@kis or p00fs etc?
Just to remind ya'll of the days of On The Buses, Love Thy Neighbour & Till Death Us Do Part etc. When taking the pi$$ out of other folk wasn't a "hate crime"
It was just non hateful humour 🙂

A week or so ago I was watching an episode of Les Dawson's 'Sez Les' on the 'That's TV' channel and one of the sketches was a Mastermind spoof with Les's being asked a question and I can't remember the exact wording but it was something like 'What does a Rapist from Cowdenbeath sound like?' Could you imagine someone doing a sketch like that these days let alone a 'mainstream' TV comedian like Les Dawson was?

The funny thing about this kind of humour was that we were all able to listen to it, take it as simply a joke and move on and, at the same time, back then in my experience men generally saw rapists as scum of the Earth and not people to be admired or emulated. I had a pal who was a detective back in those days and he said the worst Jury to get in a rape case was a female one because in his experience men viewed rapists as scum and would generally convict where the women on the Jury typically were of the mind that " He looks so well turned out and he's so well spoken he couldn't have done it and just look at her, what a slapper she is, bet she was asking for it".

I should have thought it was pretty obvious that all too many blokes working from home would be subject/condemned to minute by minute supervision from SWMBO and THAT is stress of an intolerably high order. Even if the counselling is crap it gets you out of the house. You could arrange your consultation down at The Three Ferrets 🤔
