I can't get my head around why the driver would plead guilty.
As far as I can see he did nothing wrong. The woman on the bike overreacted & fell off. Even if you look at it from the angle that he could have passed them going a bit slower. That still doesn't justify a £1000+ fine FFS!

The article also states that the driver overtook the cyclists, which he clearly did not. He was driving towards them FFS. When I was younger and fitter, if I met a vehicle coming the other way on a narrow lane I made damn sure it was me who moved out of the way. Self preservation.
What a bunch of self important, entitled c@nts some people are.

If you look closely at her when she's on the ground. It looks like her feet are still on the pedals.
Does that suggest she was using those shoes that clip onto the pedals?
If so, she's overreacted, clipped the grass verge & couldn't put her feet down quick enough.
None of that is the drivers fault.

And what about all the four letter words being hurled at the driver. He could have been "offended" or felt "threatened"

Typical woman, blaming everyone else. Stupid bitch, was too busy giving him the 2 fingered salute, and rode into the ditch. How the fuck the driver got fined for that, is beyond any reason, and ridiculous. The police wont even turn up to a house break in, but got time for all this PC bullshit.

I may be wrong but I suspect the stupid tart fell off because she was too busy looking back and hurling abuse at the driver to notice that she had run off the road.

Let's face it, cyclists are now a 'gender' like Trannies, gays etc. and so are 'protected' from all hurty nasty 'ordinary' human beings as the little petals need protection because they are incapable of keeping themselves safe.

I reckon that next Census there will be a question on Sexual orientation -

Are You - Gay, Lesbian, Transexual, Bisexual, Bicyclesexual, Other

I love it when I see those video's online with the twats coming to a stop and falling off because they have their feet stuck to their pedals. Assholes the lot of them!

I notice a lot these days that cyclists either can't easily stop or don't feel that they should stop whether it's for traffic lights, junctions, passing on narrow roads/paths etc. Maybe it's time that they were banned from using anything on their pedals that impedes their ability to quickly put their feet down.

I would have contested that case. The vehicles were travelling at similar speeds and I have my suspicions the cameraman ran into the back of the slowing woman as she got a wobble on. The LR was well past her when she fell and there's camera evidence of zero contact never mind 'scary proximity' and don't tell me there was any discernible draught coming off the Landy.. I think a tape measure and sone stadiometric evidence would tell its own story.

It's got to the stage where Plod is making political rather than operational policing decisions. I don't think the CPS would have pushed this the way the police have. And then there's the utterly disproportionate fine as though Magistrates are advertising changes in the Highway Code that enjoy little popular support and certainly not from professional road users.

If somebody dobbed me in on an arbitary over the limit pic I'd find them and kick them till my feet bled.

I don't speed in towns and can sometimes see why limits are applied on rural roads but I'll ride to the conditions (often tallying with the speed limit) thank you very fucking much.

The police/courts shouldn't be allowed to use it as cast iron evidence. But as it's another golden opportunity to fleece motorists. No doubt they will be more than happy to accept the footage as 100% factual.

It really is becoming like Nazi Germany isn't it? People taking it upon themselves to strictly enforce the law as they see it without any consideration of whether that 'enforcement' is justified in any given place. Given that more road deaths are due to inattention, using your phone while driving, being drunk or stoned behind the wheel, crashing while trying to film that guy that you decided is a law-breaking loon etc. it's a really piss poor thing to create and no doubt it's been created either to make the creators feel as if they lives are worthwhile in some way or because they see a chance to make money out of others misery.

I Hate People! With Covid, BLM, the rise of the 'freaks', Big Brother and Putin I have come to realise that what I thought was just me being a miserable cnut is actually a completely justified attitude because a large part of the global infestation known as humanity is thick as fuck and stupid with it!

I've shared a similar opinion for years now, and it seems that everyday it is enforced as the majority of humanity sinks further and further in to the abyss of stupidity and degeneracy.

I'm grateful for this little oasis of common sense and decency :)
