A Place For Your WTF Moments

Did not plan to stay in or around Glasgow… Was looking for fastest access to the highlands/skye!
Probably won’t do the trip anyway. Not as long as I have to wear a f.ckin facemask during the whole flight.
I just feel like needing a change of tapestry pretty soon before going totally bugshit crazy.
Understandable, but if you ever do come all the way to the Highlands make sure you let us all know be a shame to come this far without a welcome meet up

Totally 'bugshit' crazy. Hmmm that sounds like me on a 'normal' day and it's the only way to be!

To be honest @DD67 my dear old Jockistan as a land beats anywhere else in the world as a place to be. Our 'mountains' are big enough to be majestic without being overpoweringly huge, our coasts are rugged and beautiful, our Glens and lochs are hidden and tranquil and, outside of Bombay(Glasgow) or Mogadishu(Edinburgh) the towns are generally pleasant enough as long as you don't leave your armoured vehicle without donning your body armour.

With views like that, why bother with Jockistan? Other than the change of scenery of course.
To be honest (and I really love Scotland), after posting the picture I asked myself the same question, Jez.
And there is one thing that goes missing in Marty‘s list: the absolutely delicious food and wine in Südtirol.
It definitely is my choice of „home“ away from home…

That looks like a salad & fruit cordial 😳

That's Italy for you! The tomato capital..... whatever the Spanish say.

Whatever, if I was fly driving to the Highlands I would arrive in Inverness rather than Glasgow. The Cenatural Belt is worth a miss and the tourist belt around Loch Lomond is worth a miss in season!

Yes, Inverness would be my first choice as well but flying out of Frankfurt, I’d have to swap planes in London, or Amsterdam which is even more of a hassle…

I'm not really that big on food in general and certainly not Tomatoes that haven't been boiled down to a sauce of some description and, of course I prefer the green stuff to be fed to my dinner rather than be my dinner.
You know, Marty, when push comes to shove, I will be most content surviving Scotland on Sandwiches, Cigars and Single Malt… With the occasional beer to quench the thirst. 🥃

That is a very nice starter you have pictured @Capt. Drunkey , now for the main course something to stick to your ribs or something fried that will leave you with more oil than the motor you drive :ROFLMAO:

nice starter
Nothing but an in-between-snack it was…
When I stay there, I always have a 4-course-menu booked with my room for dinner. It is only 17€ added to the room-price.
So when I am having lunch, I usually tend to choose something light. On other days, the Knödel (dumplings) or Pasta are just too tempting.

But meanwhile I am pretty sure that those Tyrolleans must have invented the stretchable waist at the pants 😆

Someone ought to render their bleeding legs unusable! I see the buggers have been trying to foul things up for the ordinary man in the street up here too, at a Clydebank fuel depot. I'm surprised that they weren't murdered in Clydebank. The Police must have been keeping the locals from getting at them. The statement from Police Scotland (summed up pretty much as 'We an inclusive organisation for the protection of woke tossers taking the piss out of ordinary Scots at the expense of the ordinary Scots') is feckin' sickening. They used to be a 'Police Force' for maintaining order (when they weren't taking backhanders) and not some even more useless division of the Social Work department.
