The PC brigade area a pain in the ass and they shouldn't be allowed to change history. It is what it is, names and all. To be honest though as the years go on and I have seen program after program and read a lot of history books I realise that most of feckin' history is a fiction one way or another. When it comes to TV everything is twisted to suit whatever views the writers have or want to put on display and this is often the same with books. They emphasise the bits that fit their outlook on right and wrong and play down those they don't want you to focus on and the result is a skewed or even completely fictitious version of the history.
The start of the WWII is a great example. It's very much played down is that while we declared war on Germany when they invaded Poland, we did virtually nothing about it and let Germany slice chunks off Czechoslovakia and then turned a blind eye to the invasion of their lands. The whole outset of WWII was mismanagement, reluctance to take action and missed opportunities. Hell, let's face it even the rise of Hitler was due not to his talents or intelligence but because the Political system was broken and the liberal elite were indulging their perversions and excesses while the general public were oppressed and living in misery - Sound familiar?
If there is any lesson to be taken from history it's that we never learn from history and humans in general are a waste of bloody space and shouldn't be allowed to run anything. Once AI takes off I imagine it will find that Humanity is shit and wipe us out.
