Capt. Drunkey

King Of The Schnitzelwiesels
Not a film, but a program on BBC Scotland called #cancel Karen Dunbar.

Basically a Scots comic exploring what is and isn't acceptable in comedy nowadays. Quite an eye opener.... A d still had the sketch with the wee boy saying "can ah git a swatch of yer fanny?" though apparently the sketch was cut before it originally aired, as she was supposed to say "yeez wanting a flake in that?"

This made my day, Sandy…

And it reminded me of an Italian film (Maléna) I saw a couple of years ago…
A boy falls helplessly in love with a beautiful woman from his town.
One night, he steals one of her panties from the clothesline, oils the springs of his squeaking bed, slips the knickers over his face, masturbates and unfortunately falls asleep afterwards…
The next morning, his choleric dad comes into his room to wake him up… (mind the subtitles):

Beautiful Italian chaos!

That's a good film, and I'd bash one out for Monica Bellucci , my Guzzi is named after her ;)

Legendary Knight
Dune. It was very well made, but like the Hobbit, one book is not one film is it? I was disappointed in where it ended.

And the next instalment isn’t due until October 2023 - very annoying:oops:
Not as annoying and disappointing as the David Lynch version.
I loved the book and was sceptical when the (Lynch) film came out as I thought the subtlties in the story would be eviscerated.
I'm surprised it's never been done as a series like Game of Thrones

There was a mini series Dune 2000 but didn’t get enough traction (I’m guessing) to complete

Seems odd as it’s a great book that no one yet has done a complete film of the complete book:unsure:

That reminds me of a Hod carrier i had working for me yrs ago. He was in his bedroom, at his parents house, watching a blue movie, with headphones on, so nobody could hear him. After bashing himself silly, he turned to get some tissue off the bedside cabinet. Only to find a cup of steaming hot coffee. :sitting there. :) :)
