Really struggling if I'm honest. New films are just a waste of time. I'm back watching old films from the 50's 60's and 70's. Just watched a Norman Wisdom film, "On The Beat"...great stuff. Not a woke in sight. Mind, I like Norman Wisdom.
Watched Alien, Covenant last night. Yawn.

When I was building my DVD collection a while back. I saw the Alien movies boxset at a great price & eBay said the seller was within 5 miles of me. When I asked the seller for their address. It turned out that "within 5 miles" was actually 5 doors up the lane. And she did me a bit of a discount!

Yeah. Fucking snowflakes.
I like TCM and Talking Pictures. I'm a big fan of old Sci Fi movies, they sometimes have them on. And Ealing comedies, the other week the Titfield Thunderbolt was on, brilliant. Very British, very correct, no bad language, but all the funnier for it, and a breath of fresh air. The Maggie was on the other week too. Brilliant. There's been a few Miss Marple films on, with the wonderful Margaret Rutherford. She is hilarious, and very much reminds Mrs Big Sandy and I of an old friend who used to be a district nurse here. Spitting image... These old films are great!
Now, what does that say about modern movies?

A film about a group of 16 y.o lads going to see the Stone Roses in 1990.
While I was older by then, I think it captures both that era and being a 16 y.o lad really well.

Been watching "the Mandalorian" on the Disney channel. No, I'm not paying for it ( more the disnae channel?)but enjoying the prog. Up to episode eleven now.
