Hmm could really be either. You would hope that the Accountants auditing the books would have spotted any 'discrepancies' over the umpteen years they've carried out the audits but some auditors are pretty lazy bastards and so, if nothing is obvious they just sign it off and bugger off with their fees.
It's a little known fact that the SNP have been skint for a long time because they simply have had so few members and big money has long since stopped donating to them. If I recall correctly there have been quite a few years where they have had to access a fund from Westminster which was set up to help parties who didn't have the funds to pay for researchers, party offices etc. They give the impression of being all powerful in Scotland but they are a fur coat and no nickers mob whose tiny core membership can't spare the cash out of their benefits to help their party out and the nutters who donated over half a million quid to the Unicorn dream of independence were actually donating so that Peter Murrell could get a new laptop and him and his missus could continue to pay for chauffeur driven limo's.

With the Tax structure in Scotland having the richer pay more, people and industry shy away from locating here, and it's just gone up again, I remember when it first came about Lossie had a problem getting pilots and officers to locate up North so the MOD foots the difference so serving folk are not at a disadvantage to down south
