So what frivolous things have you bought lately? Why?

Not being funny or taking the piss, If you've a bunch of stuff in the garage like that why don't you post a list on here?
Fair comment Chas.
I'll get around to posting the Triumph related bits & bobs I have.
Once the Versys goes & all the MX-5 bits I have in stock. I'm gonna "attempt" a ruthless clearout.
As mentioned before, I'm a terrible hoarder. I have NOS items for cars/bikes that haven't been in production for over 50yrs.
One of my mates refers to my garage as "Auntie Wainwright's shop" (from Last Of The Summer Wine)
But inbetween the pi$$taking. There have been numerous examples of..."Don't suppose you've got a"...

..."Yep, I have 3 of those in stock!"... 🙂

if i'd known i would have. Still, i'll keep keep and eye out for anything you post. Really could do with expanding my stock of tools and spares
Would a pair of these be of use to you on a cold day?..

They are "supposedly" made from a ballistic grade perspex (like shooting glasses)
Over the years I've found that heated grips only keep your palms warm. The back of your hands/fingers are still freezing in the winter. Hand guards do a waaaay better job of preventing wind blast. But obviously, platic moto-x guards would look ridiculous on your cruiser.
I reckon these would look great on a cruiser & could be easily removed if you didn't want them fitted in the summer?

Im currently browsing dash cam stuff and came across something called a road angel..The price seems a bit steep for the road angel and I'm not sure but it looks like you got a basic one and a deluxe model..why don't people have these fitted on a motorbike..It could save your license...

Also dash cams are way cheaper than go pros....

Anyone got any more information on either and ultimately are they worth it...
Im thinking I wish I had a road angel on my bus on Saturday...

Hi Duck,

I purchased a top quality Go-Pro copy & never used it other than to test it. @Bad Billy purchased the same type.
I honestly can't remember what it cost though mate? Billy might remember?

I don’t know a thing about dash cams, but I really had a shite service from road angel regarding a speed camera sensor.
The base wore out and they replaced it at nine months, it then wore out again after sixteen months.
Their answer to this was,it’s out of warranty now.which prompted me to smash their £120.00 piece of shite
I’d never deal with the sitbags after that, and I wish someone there could read this.

But as I say I know naff all about dashcams 😀

I use this in my car https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07K55FL73 which is ok for what I need, but has limitations. Most proper dashcams have a parking mode where they detect movement (bumps) when the car is parked, auto save for when they detect a potential collision whilst you are driving, etc, but this camera doesn't have either of these features or others that are on most dedicated dashcams.

I use a GoPro on my bikes, because of the superior image quality & stabilisation, and the generally better quality and availability of accessories (mounts etc).

I've got two go pro four or five hero camera's ones a bit hit and miss and the other is alright..
They were £500 each back in the day...im looking for something a bit more suited to task with that impact loop recording malarkey and an interior camera for when the police beat me up...
I've watched some reviews today and some of them aint so good with lousy audio...
