Both Neil Oliver and Russell Brand have large global audiences, and both have influential friends, so I think if anyone did try to cancel them it would backfire massively. Also both, and Neil in particular, are intelligent men, who as HT said, choose their word carefully.
I also used to despise Russell Brand, but he is calling out the corruption and injustices, and I'm also becoming to believe there is something in his idea of more local independent governance, I certainly believe in less government and more individual responsibility for ones own actions and welfare.
Government should only be there as a safety net to provide assistance when its truly needed, not to dictate to people how they should live their lives. The common law idea of "do no harm" should be our guiding principal, where you can live your life as you see fit, so long as you cause no harm to others. If harm is caused, then the severity of any crime and the appropriate punishment should both be determined on an individual case basis by independent juries of ones peers. We are free living individuals who are sovereign in our own right, and no one should have the right to tell us how we should live our lives, so long as we are not interfering with anyone else.
