T'other day I was reading about the 'eco friendly' way that Desmond Tutu had chosen to be disposed of. Apparently he was to be 'aquamated' (I think that was the term). It seems that this method requires the heating of a bath of strong Alkali in which the body is then dissolved until only the bones are left. After that the bones are ground up and then buried. Yes, maybe that would use less energy than burning the corpse but surely the most eco friendly, carbon zero way and also the simplest would be to dig a hole and put the body in it, maybe in a bio-degradeable bag or straight in naked as the day it was born?

I haven't done it in a while but I used to really enjoy going on American chat rooms with another mate of mine and talk in our dialect and the yanks would go absolutely ape shit and bananas. The weird thing was that, apart from the accent there really wasn't that much that was hard to understand in what we were saying. I always wonder whether yanks are phobic of accents other than American or hispanic ones or were simply a bit on the thick side and unable to process words when they were spoken slightly differently.

I would go with the thick option.

Unfortunately, those petitions are not worth a shit. If they get a certain amount of signatures, They go before a committee, that, then decides, whether they should be discussed by the MP's. Obviously, if they don't like it, it just gets binned before that happens. Heads, they win, tails we lose. Just bullshit sop for the masses. Dont ever imagine, that they give a fuck what we think.. It is generally supposed the the late DoE had been a major obstacle to Blair and former PMs generally don’t have to wait the 14 years Bliar did.
