Dominos Pizza!! 🀬

I couldn't be arsed to prepare any food tonight, my local Chinese is closed, so I ordered pizza, their tracker said it was on its way about 15 mins after ordering, but no pizza has turned up after two fucking hours, and no answer on their phone πŸ˜’

I ordered a new brake disk and pads from EBC on Thursday morning, both items were shown as in stock with next day delivery. So I was expecting them yesterday in time for me to work on my Guzzi over the weekend... but no f#cking show, even though I got a notification on Thursday from UPS that they were scheduled for delivery on Friday between 11:30 & 15:30 - Checking the tracking it appears they haven't even collected the fucking things yet! 🀬

I don't know if its UPS (in my experience the absolute worse courier, they make Hermes look like a professional efficient service) or EBC, I tried calling EBC but no answer, and to add insult to injury I've noticed that EBC are in Northampton so I probably could have collected them myself

Fowlers came though with new bolts, delivered on Friday morning :)

Edit: It gets worse, I ordered from https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/ but they also have https://www.ebcbrakeshop.co.uk/ and had I ordered from the second I could have got 5% discount πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Yet again Britain to the rescue of an ever increasing ungrateful Europe who are hell bent to impose sanctions on us, FOOK EM is all I can say Bastids

So we're going to go short during the winter. Supply and demand dictates, and existing forecasts already predict, that our prices will also go up, but if we currently have a surplus then why have prices not gone down? - We really do get shafted in this country, and more worryingly most people accept it πŸ˜’

This is a first world problem but it's still f#ckin annoying.

A few months back we orderd a takeaway via Uber Eats. The delivery driver handed me a menu & asked that I order direct from their website in future. He said..."Not only is it cheaper, we will look after you"...
I assumed that meant bigger portions or an extra something or other thrown in for nowt?
Either way it sounded like a plan πŸ˜ƒ

Jump forward to this evening & I'm self catering. So a few beers & a takeaway sounded great πŸ˜‹

50 minutes after placing the order. There were still no updates via their website. It just said order placed.
So I called them & was told they hadn't spotted my order..."Because nobody orders direct. Everyone uses Uber Eats"..

FFS! 😏

BAD LUCK DUCK

Sat nav and women navigators are a bad combination...
Yesterday I travelled through Sheffield to join the M1 and go onto the M18..
I'm not a fan of Sheffield traffic and roads and much as changed since I last passed through..It's a lot worse than I remember..
Sat nav on Stacy's phone, the Duckmobile navigation system and my personal knowledge of where to go very often did not match so we ended up relying on Stacy's ability to relay directional information off her phone..I contravened everything I know to follow her instructions as she interpreted it from her phone...
BIG MISTAKE...
I won't bore you with all the many minor mishaps and wrong turns but it came to a head when after fuelling up and exiting the petrol station she gave me instructions to do an illegal U turn which I refused to do in heavy traffic to an immediate turn left here instruction ( this is all as exiting petrol station) that I immediately did not wanting to go a mile back down a road that had taken ages to travel...
Only problem was I had inadvertently followed an instruction to turn into a one way street with three lanes of traffic heading towards me...
Fuck me...
A very quick response from myself and some understanding drivers I profusely apologised to saved the day...
However I've never been one for Sat nav tech relying on my own ability to get where I wanna be..
I can honestly say I will never use the combination of tech and a woman's navigational skills in heavy traffic and an unknown built up area again...
In all my miles of driving a range of different vehicles which is extensive I've never made such a blunder...
Anyway it pissed me off...
That was just the start of the epic journey to Scarborough and whitby and back...
What a fucking road journey πŸ¦†
