Then coming back on the M1 those bloody digital signs were telling everyone to slow down to 40 as lane was closed..It wasn't so people ignored it..Then it said slow down to 60 for air pollution..Everyone ignored that and went faster...Then it went to forty again but the motorway was clear and in the distance you could clearly see the next digital displays across the motorway said national speed limit...
I guess after being pissed about for miles for no reason everyone had basically had enough and people put their foot down...
I've never seen a speed camera flash on the side of the road so much...Must have gotten between 8 - 10 vehicles...
Everyone else including myself slammed the anchors on...
How the hell a massive accident and pile up didn't happen I'll never know...
Personally I think someone in Traffic Control was fucking about...No factual reason for delaying traffic like that...It seemed to me to be deliberately baiting drivers and fuck them off...
I can only see it as a big revenue funding operation or a way to trick the public at large into accepting more Control legislation under the guise of road safety...
Total Bullshit...
Not one of those speeding tickets was justified...

Spot on mate.
The only time I ever take any notice of recommended torque settings. Is on cylinder head bolts.
Even then, that's only because there's a set sequence in which to torque them down to ensure a dead flat fit.

With enough practice you get to.know what feels right & tight enough.

Work - I fucking hate the place and would leave tomorrow if I could!

Wish I could simply completely switch off and just take the money and put up with the incompetence and stupidity, but I do actually care about doing a good job.

Overseas jobs are fewer at the moment , and I don't really want to be too far from me mum at this stage in her life, and anywhere doing the same elsewhere in the UK would be just as bad as where I am now.

Thank god for sources of shallow, instant gratification I say!

Having met you in person & seeing what a level headed guy you are. I take my hat off to you for being able to work in such a woke environment.
I think it'd turn me into one of those psychopaths that go from classroom to classroom rolling a grenade into each one & shooting the wounded! 😳

I don't work these days and spend my time just hanging around, looking at bikes, thinking about bikes, playing with bikes and looking after the wife and I am glad of it. Humanity were big enough arseholes back when I was part of the rat race and now, when I have to interact with them, I think they are ten times worse than they used to be. Sadly even the biker world seems to have acquired a healthy share of them too. I have been continuing to peruse the bike incident video's on Youtube for amusement lately and I find myself more and more, seeing a lot of the riders being just as big bell-ends as the car drivers.
