A belated Happy Birthday from me too. ![Thumbs up (y) (y)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Back in 1992 I got into an argument in a pub in Felpham, near Bognor Regis on the south coast, about as far from Scotland as you can get while being on mainland UK.As an Immigrant English I come at the top of the SNP hate list, sad state of affaires when the hate for the English out ways the rest of the known world, they also forget that there are as many jocks south of the border seeking a better way of life than most of Scotland can offer
Stop! You are giving the game away!! CO2? What about every carbonated drink on the planet? No, fermentation is incredibly green because CO2 actually IS plant food and, whatever Greta says, the Greenhouse Theory is a theory and not settled science.....and Scotland needs greenhouses.Oh I would add that I am surprised that in these days of Eco concerns distilling and brewing haven't come under fire given the fact that the fermentation process to make all types of booze generates incredible amounts of CO2. Perhaps the eco mob like their micro brewery ales too much?
It was a massive part in why I moved out this way...At the last count, 44% black and asian in London. Compared with an average of about 7% for the rest of the country. And 2% where I live. This had no bearing on our choice of location when we moved up here to Derbyshire from Bletchley 13%.
The poles czechs Latvians Chinese and such don't cause shit and get on with making a life and a honest living...They don't bitch about being victims and don't believe society owes them fuck all..Good people for the best part...Apart from the French...What about Poles, Czechs, Latvians, Chinese, French, German etc. in London? I would guess that must take the 'foreign' population way above the 50% mark. We have zero percent resident Black and Asian population in my village although we have several percent Latvian and Polish (all working for the company who own the Caravan park/holiday village around the Loch from the village.
Man woman or child...They take a swing at me and I will put them down regardless...Back in 1992 I got into an argument in a pub in Felpham, near Bognor Regis on the south coast, about as far from Scotland as you can get while being on mainland UK.
This Scottish student was banging on about how Scotland should be independent, Scotland is this, Scotland is that, Scotland is great, etc.
I do remember mentioning that she was absolutely right - mostly because there was fuck all there worth having apart from the grouse shooting and a couple of half decent distilleries.... and she took a swing at me.
I managed to stop myself retaliating, but it was the closest I have ever come to hitting a woman.
Ironic that a large proportion of the grain used comes from England, and Baxters soups "Scottish" aye the water is but again a large proportion of the ingredients come from afarthe SNP make a big deal out of the Whisky trade as major revenue in their plot for independence.
I was brought up to believe that no matter what, you never hit a woman!Man woman or child...They take a swing at me and I will put them down regardless...
I was brought up to believe that no matter what, you never hit a woman!
Then a crazy ex girlfriend tried to attack me with a pair of scissors. I got those out of her hand & she grabbed a beer bottle out of the bin. Broke it against the door frame & came at me with that. I got that out of her hand as well.
And in desperation I slapped her. She instantly snapped out of her rage.
The reason for her crazy rage?......
I'd had a drink in the hotel bar when she told me not to!
Thankfully she's history now. Cos although she was easy on the eye. She was completely unhinged!![]()
My idea of irony is sitting in a wee yacht in Post Ellen, Islay watching truck after truck from Northumberland and Yorkshire hauliers exiting the ferries and head for Bowmore, Lagavulin, Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain etc., or through to the Jura ferry. I often think the SNP has no idea where so much malting barley originates.....including Europe and Canada! Islay produces improbable volumes of whisky given that water is is about the only plentiful island resource. Yup, some of the best grain is from NE England.Ironic that a large proportion of the grain used comes from England, and Baxters soups "Scottish" aye the water is but again a large proportion of the ingredients come from afar
@Tallpaul hope you had a good birthday mate and take SB's advice on pension's

The Irish of course use English barley too but adulterate it with oats and even maize to produce their gut rot.
The Islay cattle enjoy the spent grains.....
