LOL I can say this because it happened several years ago and was sorted at the time....
I had MI6 banging on the door about some information they had picked up that I'd sent to a buddy in the US.
So what happened?
A mate of mine was writing a book and got in touch as he knew I was an aircraft engineer by trade. How would I get rid of a mystical artifact from a Boeing Business Jet in flight, about the size of a dog skull. So I told him.
A couple of days later he decided that he wanted the plane in his book to be a Gulfstream V rather than a Boeing. Now I don't really know anything about the Gulfstream so I tell him I'll find out and get back to him.
A search on the net later and I find a supplementary bulletin about the "mitigation of a small explosive device from a gulstream V during flight" which met exactly what he needed for his novel. So I sent him the file.
The following day I get the knock. So did Gabe. From both Homeland Security AND the FBI who had each turned up independently based on my email, in case he was intending to make a bombing run based on my sending him a pdf document that was freely available to anyone that wanted to look for it. He showed them the novel he was working on and they were cool with it. MI6 went away after I repeated the search I'd made in front of them.
So what can we take from that? They ARE watching!
