Hi Sandy,
Things moving positively, looks like skin flap has taken ok, still stuck in bed, have to dangle leg over bed four times today, tomorrow OT will be getting me in to a seat and trying a frame to walk with. So looking positive but a long recovery road. Looking at being in hospital another week
No weight bearing for 6 to 8 weeks.

Ive lost count on the dump front. Thank fuck they've taken the bear hugger off today, the constant noise was driving me nuts.

Yeah, quick to break slow to mend. Don't know about you, I'm finding the older I'm getting the longer healing up is taking.

First time out of bed in 12 days, physio trying to get me on to a frame and move around a little bit.
Fuck me it killed me just about got on to the one good leg which has had muscle taken from it, holding the other leg up with plastercaste on as not allowed to put any weight on it. Sounds soft but when I got back to the bed the colour drained from me and I lied down and konked out. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. So still in hospital and will be over the weekend can't go home until I'm more mobile on the frame. Bugger.
Everything else is healing but looks a right mess.

Ach ya big Jessie! Walk it off like a true biker! Just kidding @gazzatriumph the older we get the longer it takes to heal up I guess but I've no doubt you'll get there. I must admit I wonder just how well I might bounce if I fall off a bike these days and I suspect it might be an awful lot more painful than it used to be.

Hopefully going home by Friday, having cast removed and a boot thingy put on, staples and all the skin graph stuff coming off tomorrow. Luckily live in a bungalow so will send me home.
