Elvis wasn't manufactured @Foxy although he is only known to have ever written one song which was for his mother. It was this song that he had paid to make a record of for his mother for her birthday at Sam Phillips' studios and which brought his entirely unique voice to the attention of Sam Phillips. Elvis was very particular in which songs he would and wouldn't sing, chose the songs he really liked from some of the best writers in the world and he decided how he would sing them. There are stories of him insisting on twenty or thirty takes of a song and, although everyone else thought he had nailed it early in the session he would carry on until he felt he had got it just right. A true artist and a voice that was unique in music and has never truly been bettered in my opinion. Everything about his stage act was also dictated by him personally whatever he felt like doing. I don't know much about the Monkees at all and have never been a great fan.
Robbie Williams, hmmmm to me I don't dig his music, it feels fake and while he tries to portray the 'cool' of Sinatra to me he just comes across as an arrogant cocky little shit aping the style and moves of a guy who was what you saw and heard for his hordes of adoring little girl fans.
I don't believe that, to be a brilliant musical artist or musician that you have to create the material but you have to be damn good at putting it out there and knowing how to tweak it so that it fits you like a good suit and becomes part of you. Bon Scott, Lemmy, Ozzy, Louis Armstrong, Django Reindhardt, Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Buddy Holly, Robert Johnson, Glen Miller now those are giants of music. If the world were to last another thousand years I believe those names will still be known but it will be a case of 'Robbie who?'

Apparently the SNP head of Glasgow Council has blamed the current rat infestation of Glasgow, the filthy streets and refuse workers strike on Margaret Thatcher! Funny how the rat infestation and rubbish strewn streets only appeared since the SNP have been in power if it was all the fault of a prime minister who has been dead for eight years and left the role of Prime Minister over thirty years ago. The SNP seem to see stupidity as a requirement for membership!

Last time I was in Glasgow it was far worse than it was when I lived there for a few months back in 2010 and the people of Glasgow have no-one to blame but the SNP and yet the muppets still vote for them.

Guess what ..... I joined a private Facebook page for Meteor owners and it's almost as bad as somewhere else I used to visit, I replied to a post on rear brake seizing up and was told I was having a knee jerk reaction and it was only a one off incident.....All I said was "if the pads start showing a lot of brake dust I would change them to EBC or similar as they're probably not the best quality as standard. FFS

It's the same with perceived racism. I never really gave it much thought, until the last few years. Now i get really pissed off at the entitled attitude, of some black/brown people. preaching about the way their distant relatives were treated I did my 50yrs on building sites, and only ever worked with 1 black bloke. He was body builder, as big as Frank Bruno. But the laziest bastard i ever met. I never saw an Indian, or Pakistani at all. All too lazy to do hard manual work, even though the money was always very good. Rather sit on their arses, claiming benefits, in a dozen different identities, with 10 kids each. The DSS know it too, but are too afraid to even aknowledge it, let alone do anything about it. We are the persecuted underdogs, in our own country.
