School for scoundrels. 🙂 Bit modern for me at 1960...

Alistair Sim...priceless.

The 'Bellini' sports car in the film was an Aston Martin DB3S, one of 5 made. At one point in it's life the driver was using it for speed trials at Gosport and failed to lift off the throttle in time, crashed into the sea, killing the driver.

The Swiftmobile in the film was actually a 4.5 litre Bentley. Still on the road!

The 'Swiftmobile'.

I really like seeing all the old cars...and it's quite fun afterwards to see if they are still in existence.

Odd one this...strange ending. Kind of...
The corporate world as you never saw it before.

The Mill is a big grinding wheel he has to push round and round...and round....and round. Or else.

Different....

Last night I watched Cross of Iron with James Coburn on Amazon Prime. Excellent film by Peckinpah and I reckon it gives a real idea of the chaos of battle and the grim struggle on the Eastern Front. I will watch Cross of Iron 2 tonight although I don't expect it to be nearly as good given the write up. I last saw Cross of Iron donkeys years ago and forgot how much I enjoyed it but I've never seen the sequel.

As the weather has been so appalling I've watched a few films over the last couple of days...

All enjoyable (y)

I have to admit, I saw Freelance, and it just didn't hack it somehow. Well.... I saw about 20 minutes, but couldn't get past the ham. Well, couldn't see the ham for the Wisconsin cheese ...😏 Just the yankgunghoism?

Nah. Not sure what it was. The main character maybe? Kind of reminded me of a film.... Err....

Hardcore Henry.

But just the first couple scenes. I thought I'd enjoy it, but it somehow just didn't cut it. 🤷‍♂️

Loads of funny bits in the first 30 minutes or so. Then it gets a bit more serious in places. It's still well worth a watch though.

Think "Porkies" from the 1980's plus some. And it features a 1969 Pontiac GTO for us petrolheads 😃
