He has his moments. We have a big muddy puddle in our yard, he loves to "dredge". He runs through it, with his face int water. He ends up really muddy, then tries to get int house, much to our lasses dismay!!

I used to know a black Labrador that used to love muddy puddles. My mate was not too amused with the clean up afterwards!
The bluddy thing also took a liking to whisky and dry ginger (amongst other drinks!). We learned very quickly that the floor was not a good place to put glasses of such liquids between genteel sips of their contents.

Please complete this survey & pass it on to other pet owners/animal lovers.
It's in relation to changing the sentencing guidelines for the scum sucking pond life who steal peoples pets.
Currently the crime is treated as theft of property. If that "property" is worth less than £500? The maximum sentence is only 2yrs!

BTW... I got that link in an email from the Police/Neighbourhood Watch. So it's definitely on the level.

Im reluctant to fill in the survey as it is a police survey and I trust the police about as much as I trust a person i suspect is about to commit a crime against me or mine...
Needless to say if anyone touched my dogs I'd not react well...And I definitely would not have any faith in the police ever finding my dogs ever again if they were taken from the missus...
Unfortunately some of the people I've known in the past were big into dog fighting and dogs were very often taken off the street for training purposes and such..Very nasty and sickening business with really sick and nasty people..I seriously hope they raise prison sentences for dognapping and dog cruelty although I strongly believe in a different kind of justice...

Lilly was attacked on the park today by another dog ☹

That's the result of one quick bite from a Staffie.
She was on her lead but the Staffie wasn't.
According to its owner (a lady in her 50's) it's never done such a thing before.
That's no consolation for poor old Lilly. But the Staffies owner did volunteer her contact details & popped around later with £86 for the vet bill.
She also said she'll keep her dog on its lead from now on.
None of that is ideal for all concerned. But at least she put her hands up to it, apologised profusely & enquired about Lilly's welfare when she popped around with the money.

Amazingly Lilly didn't yelp when she was bitten. And I didn't spot the blood until 5 mins later. Then realised it was a fairly deep cut. She's 15 in a few months, & very wobbly on her back legs. So she really doesn't need this kinda shit from younger dogs 🙁

Her dog would now be dead. No it's, buts, why's nothing.

Over the years I've booted many dogs that have had a go at mine. But I always feel bad about it afterwards Lee.
It's invariably the owner that deserves the kicking, not the dog.

This particular case was different to all the others. Not only could I not justify leathering a lady. She was genuinely mortified about what her dog had done.

It's the first time ever. That the owner of the other dog hasn't shrugged their shoulders or even laughed about it Pete.
Those interactions were far less calm & reasonable 😡
Trouble is mate, if you give the owner a kicking. You'd more than likely have the Police at your door. They wouldn't be in the slightest bit interested in what kicked it all off.

I carry a blade just in case. Not arsed if the owner gets it as well. Family is family 2 or 4 legs, each is the same.
