Aye they had a page worth of supposedly deep and meaningful song lyrics for each song and you'd read them and then put the track on and the singer would barf into the mic like he'd had the dodgiest curry ever for two seconds. No way was he singing the lyrics that were printed on the sleeve.
Personally I thought it was rubbish but they were pretty successful and toured around world, I think Mickey had one eye on joining Napalm Death when he turned down that support slot offer.
Another drummer of a band I was in before the psychobilly stuff, he went on to play for Electric Wizard, again not really my thing but again toured and released CDs so did better than I did.

I've hardly touched a guitar over the last year, due to work, bikes and other new found hobbies. However that looks superb, thanks for thinking of me, and could be worth buying just as a piece of art, I'll keep my eye on it... and maybe ;)

Edit: I've put in a bid of £300 to stop the "Buy it now", hopefully everyone will be skint after Christmas 🤞

It is rather smart ain't it? I think the guy selling it made it, either from a kit or re-finishing an existing guitar and they are outfitted with Seymour Duncan pickups which ain't cheap gear. As you say even as a wall hanger artwork they aren't exactly priced over the top. The one with Waterloo on the front and Rourke's Drift on the back is quite smart too. For me though I like the look of the Les Paul but I ain't got the spare cash and my guitar collection is now up to twenty six so I've probably got too many, if that's possible.

I hadn't thought to look at his other items on eBay, and yes both the Waterloo and Les Paul look pretty cool also.

He does have a website: https://shawguitars.com/home

Well done @Scrappy I had a fancy for the Les Paul he had but just couldn't justify spending the cash as I've currently got twenty seven guitar most of which I've bought in the last year or so. I had a word with the guy through ebay and he told me that the Maiden one and the Waterloo/Rourke's drift one were made by using printed cloth which was applied onto the guitars with resin and then sanded and polished down. A lot of work and a unique, one-off guitar. I think it may be a really good player too especially given that he has outfitted them with Seymour Duncan pickups which ain't cheap. I think he said they are '59 model pickups so should have a classic Alnico 'Chuck Berry' type sound to them. I think you did well on it all things considered. Just a bugger that I couldn't quite justify buying another guitar. I ain't even got the space in my music room to keep another guitar. I'm gonna need a bigger house!

Anyways I hope it rocks and it certainly looks the business. Did that one come with a hard case? It's pretty much a steal at that price to be honest between the cost of a guitar kit to make one (about two hundred bucks for a 335 style), the pickups which were probably about that price too, eighty quid for a case if there is one included and time effort, resin and printing on top.

That's useful information, thanks, and yes it does come with a hard case too 🙂
