I see that NATO 'intelligence' are reporting that they can't see any troop withdrawals from the Ukranian border whatsoever. I think Putin is taking the piss and the little rat is fully intent on taking Ukraine.

From what i have been hearing, these last few day's, It ain't going to be a walk over for him. The Ukrainians, are going to make a fight of it. How is he going to hold on to a country of that size, when it's population are going to be shooting from behind every wall and hedgerow.

The problem Mick is that many of the people in the Donbas region in Eastern Ukrainian are pro Russian and have Russian families, hence the problems there over the last few years since seizing Crimea - if Russia rolls in Ukrainians will need more than manpower - I suspect Russia will probably draw the line at getting the Western side of Ukraine calling it a buffer zone / demilitarised zone

Of course the bigger picture is that Putin wants Ukraine as a 'bread basket' for his new USSR not to mention cutting off the supply of gas and oil to Europe from Ukraine to exert a stranglehold on these resources. It's funny that, as I understand it, Russians typically view Ukraine as 'brothers' and yet, historically Russia has repeatedly starved, rode roughshod over and murdered Ukrainians whenever they felt like it.

That gas is their trump card. We all want it, but America wants us to buy their fracked stuff, which is much more expensive, because of the logistics.. That is why they are interfering with the new pipeline deal. China has just done a deal, to buy putins gas, much cheaper than we pay for it.

With Putin about to recognise Donetsk and Luhansk as seperate states in the East of Ukraine, I reckon he’ll be wheeling in the army as ‘peacekeepers’ and seize Eastern Ukraine by tomorrow night at 10.00 o’clock in the evening (local time)

@MartytheMartian I think you called it right and I can almost hear the stable doors of the horses of the Four Riders of the Apocalypse opening for them to ride forth and visit their Righteous Vengence on mankind(y)

Wonder how long it’ll take them to get to Tunbridge Wells:unsure:
