I tell you one thing, Putin's assault on Ukraine hasn't half brought out the nutters! Do those assholes really believe all that crap? I have been on Facebook quite a lot and there are tons of folks spouting straight out mental shit.

The ISS that the Russki's are holding to ransom doesn't really exist except as a CGI graphic and a studio set (Despite the fact that you can see the fucking thing whizzing across the sky and, with a decent telescope you can see it is definitely up there and not just a drone flying over non-stop to fool people.

The war in Ukraine is actually all a fraud and the Ukrainians are being lied to by their President while 'conflict actors' are pretending to fight each other. Apparently Putin and a hundred thousand Russian troops are sitting quietly outside Kyiv not firing a shot while they wait for Zelensky to surrender himself to answer for his crimes and receive justice for his 'corruption' and 'fascist' ways and he is a puppet of the Mason's, Biden. Trump Liz Truss, Kalergi, Soros, Greta Thunberg etc. etc.

The Ukrainians are racists because they aren't letting any of the ethnic male migrants who have been living on their state to flee across the border while there are women and children requiring evacuation.

And, of course there are myriad other lunatic conspiracies swirling around the great toilet bowl.

I am utterly amazed just how many people have truly gone down the rabbit hole and lost themselves in a world of conspiracies where they seem no longer able to even believe their own fucking eyes. No wonder God's finger is hovering over the 'flush' button. there are a lot of good, sane and righteous people around but by Christ there are an awful lot of complete fucking fruitcakes too!

We have been doing BAP ops for years now [Baltic air policing] to help Estonia, Latvia, & Lithuania control their borders but that is it "Their Borders" I can't see NATO overstepping the mark to "Enforce" a no fly zone over Ukranian air space with them not being part of NATO, it would soon be: welcome to WW3,
I would be more interested to know were his submarines are as they hold the final solution not easy to detect untill the last moment

Well our boat will be tooling around somewhere safe at about 4 kts with its successor lined up to take over. Personally I think it must be the most boring job in the Forces. Having been on a 'Boomer' I can assure you the views are shite. Just a low hum and endless light green and cream paint. You don't even get a porthole.

I knew some of the submariner's at Faslane and they are a queer lot. Can't sleep without the hum of an air conditioner unit, prefer to be in small enclosed space and are generally just a little bit mad.

I think that is the only way to avoid it. Because Putin aint about to lose face, and back down. Lets just hope, they top him, before he hits the button. I bet he is keeping only essential, trusted, people around him at the moment. for fear of being assassinated.

I agree. I can't see any other way to end things. He has made a Godawful mess that will be held against Russia as a nation unless they liquidate him and put the blame squarely on his shoulders. It's the only way Russia can redeem herself in the eyes of the world. The joke is that Putin is entirely responsible not only for the troubles for Russia now but also for all their troubles since he became their leader. They could have been modernised and become just like any other country in the world.

Nuclear boats aren't too bad. They have loads of electrical power to freshen up the atmosphere. The old diesel electrics and their crews were stinkers. I am sure your imagination can cope but basically an oily

heavily socked*.

I think the simple truth is that the Russians have minimal smart munitions and, as we saw in Syria, mostly do fighter ground attack in shallow diving runs. The Ukrainians appear to be exceptionally well tooled up with modern Western MANPADs - especially Stinger & Starburst. These are highly effective point defence weapons for bringing down aircraft attacking you.

The Russians have probably decided it's just too risky when artillery can do much the same job and almost all their targets are buried in concrete canyons..
