Boris is so tarnished now I deeply suspect PR but hope it is a brave show solidarity- so far I feel quite proud that we are leading the way in supplying arms and sanctions in support of Ukraine - although I do wonder what Eastern Europe will be like after this when it’s awash with so much military hardware….

I work for one of the 2 Major Aircraft manufacturers in the world and we are already starting to feel the pinch , which is slowly turning into a punch to be honest , we cant deliver aircraft to certain fleets as the finance house they used is based in Russia and trying to get parts from mainland europe is feckin impossible , this aint ending well for anyone , i used to feel sorry for the Russian people but having listened to some on the news just go for it now and turn the entire country into a car park

I must admit that, in the early days I believed the Russian people were like all other people and generally decent but, seeing loads of Russian posts online promoting Russia's attacks on Ukraine, spreading Russian propaganda and declaring Ukrainians to be Nazis needing essentially to be exterminated and reading reports about how the Russian people are largely approving of their government (and I don't buy the claims that they are simply blinded by propaganda) I am now of the opinion that the West should have used the nuclear bomb on Stalin's Russia at the end of WWII and saved the world a lot of grief. As Kenny Everett once said "Round them up in a field and bomb the bastards!"

Dunno about the green card fuss but the tax arrangements were aparra made clear to No10 when he eagerly filled the dirty gap left by Javid (I'm far from a fan of that idiot but he did act with a semblance of integrity in that particular matter) so I'm sure it was seen as something to put in the back pocket of No10 for 'just the right occasion'. Sadly I suspect that, if Marine Le Pen gets in, if the stories of her party getting millions of dollars in loans from the Russki's in the past, I am guessing France will either throw their lot in with the Russki's or simply offer a pre-emptive surrender and, as for Germany, well at the start of WWII they did a deal with the Russki's to carve up Poland between them and they probably would do it again now given half a chance. They certainly have a history of supporting tyrants.

I wouldn't believe much in stories on Russian collusion, the democrats tried that with Trump, and as more time goes on its obvious that it is the democrats that have dodgy deals with Russia, Ukraine, China, and maybe others. Macron seemed to think he had some influence with Putin (i wonder why he thought that?), and that a war with Ukraine was not likely, either he is totally inept or was he playing Putin's game?

Well the Loans are on record @Scrappy and are a matter of record which Le Penn made no secret of. They are to all intents and purposes 'above board' loans of a few million dollars from a couple of Russian banks. The fact is that, now, in light of current events do we really want someone in control of France who has debts to Russian banks.

Le Pen does have a loan with Russian company, but I believe she is less of a threat to our security than Macron is. It would be insignificant to how much Russian money has come through various institutions in the UK, and that again be be insignificant compared to the amount of Chinese money.
Is Le Biro likely to boot the illegal immigrants out, before they get a chance to reach Calais?
Or is her take on it likely to be similar to Macron's?

Well, during the Brexit situation she said that Macron was letting French fishermen down by not taking Britain on and fighting for their rights to plunder British waters and the general impression she gives is that she is even more anti-British than Macron. Personally I think Macron is a nasty wanker and she is an even nastier wanker. I don't trust either of them and, as far as the situation with Russia is concerned I wouldn't trust France or Germany, however things play out.
