Story is Ukraine have sunk the Russia Black Sea Navy flagship Moskva - apparently the Ukrainians used a couple of drones as a diversion/distraction and launched a couple of missiles at the ship. There was a large explosion and the crew abandoned the ship.

The Ukrainian offensive capabilities are getting ratcheted up several notches with the supply of not only UK/US self propelled 155mm artillery with much better ammunition characteristics than the cheap Russian stuff but also radar. Radar? Yup, we appear to be supplying truck mounted phased array systems that plot shells in flight back to where they originated. It gives you the opportunity to ambush their guns & crews when they open fire.....and most Russian artillery is towed and their crews highly vulnerable to air burst fusing and frangible shell cases that shatter into a thousand pieces rather than a dozen big bits.

The Russians invade another sovereign country, and then get the arse because the UK helps that invaded country protect itself, and threatens us with nuclear annihilation . We need to give Ukraine everything they need to take the fight to Russia.

As to the Russian threats of destroying the UK etc. personally I'd have already launched a strike against the fuckers and wiped Russia off the map. I know that, unlike the Russki's or the Nazi's we tend to like to be seen to play fair and only start destroying things once we have complete justification or because of a treaty obligation I personally would have little problem with going all out apocalyptic on Russia.
