I think what the Russian actually is is 'Tasty, Full Stop' with 'Full stop' being the grammatical sign for the end of a sentence which, of course is also called a 'Period'.
I think 'Tasty Period' is more appropriate for the bloody fuckin' Russki's and will let the Yanks have a good laugh at them. The logo is clearly and unimaginitively the MacDonalds 'M' with a 'Period' included.

It's very telling that the average Russian citizen obviously highly values that little snippet of western culture.
Their country is at war, their leader is a lunatic. But the reintroduction of something similar to McDonald's was a priority?

Well I think the Russian people feel that they have been missing out on what the West has all throughout the Communist years and then they got a chance to be part of that society and there's a whole generation who haven't known Communism and now the fuckwit Putin has knocked them back into pariah status. They can pretend they have access to some of our culture but it will only be a poor copy because a Tasty Period will never be a MacDonald's because it won't have the Golden Arches and that branding is what they want not the pretty basic food under them. For a generation at least now and probably more like a century, they are going be shunned by the West and denied open access to what we have without having to steal or copy it.

I think you might be surprised how quickly they will be forgiven, with seemingly everyone wanting Russia's resources. And especially so if the WEF can get one of their team in at the top, then the narrative will be that all the evil and wrong doing was all down to Putin and a few cronies. One thing I have learnt over the last couple of decades is that very very few people have any honour, especially politicians and our so called leaders, they are mostly all self-serving duplicitous scum, and they will sell themselves and anyone else for an agenda or wealth and power. The slightest sign that any new future leader of Russia is western friendly in the minutiae, then the gluttonous governments from the west will be tripping over themselves to gorge on Russian gas, oil and money.

You may be right @Scrappy but I think it took a long time for the West to start to have any real trust in Russia after the wall came down and, at that point, they hadn't really done anything to bother the West. Now I think is a whole different kettle of fish. It may not be too obvious but among the population of Britain who aren't relatively recent immigrants, the German still aren't wholly trusted and are perceived as still being as just a little bit Nazi.
I was studying the resources situation last night and I was surprised that the ever rising prices in the UK are nothing really to do with the cost or availability of the oil needed for refining but rather that, the West, because 'Oil' is a bad word amongst the green slime and because the filthy Russians can refine their oil and sell us the Petrol and Diesel without a bunch of green snot getting up their noses we have scaled right back on our refining capabilities in the UK and so they simply can't refine Oil into petrol and diesel quickly enough to supply the market which has caused the price per barrel of refined fuels to rocket up by well over 300% but of course the refiners say they are helpless as they only auction their fuels to the highest bidder and so it's not their fault and, of course, they are terribly worried what effect it will have on the poor old consumer. We are being robbed but it's not because we need Russian oil but because there aren't enough refineries operating in the UK to supply the market and no strategic reserves or refinery expansion plans.

We are being tricked into believing we have a lack of resources..
Farmers around here are being asked to produce less and are being paid to not produce as much..
I personally think its part of a bigger plan to push people into buying Bill Gates food substitute pills and such...
Fuel we're definitely being fleeced over...
