It's myself & Mrs DD's wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Unlike yourself, you unromantic b@stard. I remembered & purchased gifts to mark the auspicious occasion...

With a bit of luck the oil & a Haynes manual should arrive tomorrow 🙂
I know that I spoil her, but she's definitely worth it 🤗 😍 😉
I'll wrap a ribbon around Annie to celebrate Jez!

The extremely comprehensive service history didn't mention an air filter in the past 8yrs, now I know why! 🥴
They are a bit of a sod to shoehorn into position. As the solid end (not shown) makes up part of the airbox itself. Obviously the old guys chosen mechanic decided to skip changing it for nearly a decade. The feckin lazy tw@t! 😏

Nothing an airline can’t freshen up! I have never replaced my vacuum filter. Just fire up the compressor and turned the neighbours white/whitish.
It needed more than a blow thru with an airline Sarky. A new one looks like this mate.
Clean & not crushed to fit like the original was. Obviously as a rushed fitting job. When you offer up a new filter it appears to be 1/4" too big. So seemingly "Pro" techs force it into position & deform it in the process?...

It was my version of your ‘it’ll polish out’ joke. Oil contamination…..don’t blow. Stop!

A word of caution about Superbike Factory.
Apparently they have ties with "We buy any bike.com" & they'll take in bikes that other dealers can't shift. Or PX's that other dealers don't want. Often they are asking less than private sellers are.

I can't see there being much wrong with a 2019 bike with such low mileage. But thought it was worth giving you a heads-up mate.

My advice would be don't touch them with a barge pole, even on a fairly new bike. Their reviews are horrendous, and they are particularly evasive if you have any problems with the bike. We learnt the hard way with Lynne's first Sportster, and I ended up having to be very ahem, assertive when they tried to wriggle out of refunding money for work they had not carried out.
I'd advise anyone to pay a few quid more and go to a proper bike dealer with a good reputation.

Both £9600, which is best do you reckon, I can't see any differences.

Just clicked on those links and they are not both £9600.

So I'd say the best one, is the one that is!

DS

I've spoken to them both and got them both down to 9600, the 3333 miles one will have a full service and has radiator covers and heated grips.

"In terms of the bike itself its A+ condition. Service is due but booked in for august at triumph Leeds (super busy so couldn't get it in earlier) your welcome to come take a look."

 The issue as I see it is that nether of those bikes are a KTM, thought that was what you were hankering after?

One of my mates that came away on the trip swapped his 765RS in for a brand new 1050RS back in March, was complaining while we were away that he kept getting false neutral between 4th & 5th, I told him it was a common problem that Triumph were aware of, he wasn't impressed!

Dry Miles 9296 - little high and old for what I want, probably as my last street bike till I get a bobber. I'm looking for 5k or under, 2019+ £11k budget ish

Unfortunately (if you are buying) KTM's hold their value, even the release of the Gen 3 did little to affect Gen 2 prices, as I found out when I was looking getting one with low miles AND in budget (£9K for me) was impossible, hence why I ended up with a Gen 1 with 10K on the clock.

Depends what you really want, is it really a Triumph or would you always be thinking I wished I'd bought a Superduke?

The used KTM I put up had everything on it extra's wise that most people in the market are after, if you wait until winter prices always take a dive. The new unsold 2020 model Gen 3's are being discounted already, that or they come with tech/track pack included for around £15K, competitive finance deals on offer too, there's always more than one way to skin (or poison) a cat!
