My weakness was Keiller soft sherbet fruits. They weren’t the hard boiled jobbies but soft rings a bit like Opal Fruits (Starburst ffs) with a crystallised sherbet centre. Keiller’s of Dundee shut down in 1992 and the World has never been quite as sweet since.... My teeth haven’t recovered either 😬

Ahh the old sweet toothed memories! Edinburgh Rock, Strathaven Toffee (In recent years I have found various things that claim to be Strathaven Toffee but aren't) and Chelsea Whoppers (again there is something on the market that claims to be Chelsea whoppers but they aren't right) and then we have the Texan bar (That was a classic) never to be seen again oh and the 'Nutty' bar.

Made the most of a rain day.

Enjoyed a walk at 04:30 to post a letter before it started to rain. Lovely. No traffic, no people just birdsong.

Back home, crumpets and tea while ripping most of my CD’s after a major p.c. crash. Glad I kept the CD’s ‘just in case‘. Sod’s Law dictates that something would go wrong!

A rewarding day.

Sell all your CDs and Invest in a Spotify purchase. Best thing since crumpets were invented :)

Or just make sure you back up your PC regularly so you don’t lose it all again ;)

I swore I would never give up on vinyl and tapes back in the late eighties when CD's started appearing. Had a mountain of Thrash. metal. rock. punk, blues, psychobilly, rockabilly and much more but, in mid 1997, I bought my first portable CD player and, by the end of 97, I had a mountain of CD's and had gotten rid of most of my vinyl collection. During a period of financial desperation around 2006 or so I ripped all my CD's to MP3 and sold them off. Wish I hadn't as there is something about owning a 'proper' copy of the music as well as a bunch of computer files. I have re-built a modest collection of maybe 400 'essential CD's now though.

I still have my old vinyl.
Inc a bit of psychobilly Marty.
Without looking it includes "Blood on the cats" & "Revenge of the killer pussies" plus others.
