I've still got my Rega turntable and 70s Rotel amp. I never even replaced my vinyl stuff with CDs

Been thinking about getting a turntable recently?
Still got a lot of vinyl, and a working Creek CAS4040 amplifier.
Can remember buying it from Billy Vee in Lee High Rd, back in 1982 ish.
Cost me £99, don't know what that equates to in today's money?

I've never owned a mp3 or a computer to put music on..I don't even know how you put music on a phone..
All I have is a few cd's...And they dont contain a single song post 2000 or possibly even 1990 to late 80's...
I'm definitely not a tech person...

They seem to be making quite a comeback now , like a few have said previously i also have Hundreds of LPs and singles in boxes , shame really as they need to be heard

I'd be shy of anything with a usb connect that's intended for ripping only.

Cos I've got one I don't know what a current one would cost but (just a fucking guess) you're old and ugly enough to find a decent secondhand deck despite the upsurge in 'fashionability'. Get a decent cartridge (I'd throw no less than fifty on that, it's the pickup) and get anything from a Dual upwards.

Or sell me your Creek.

Been enjoying the 'Gods of Snooker' on BBC2 on a Sunday evening.

First prog was the 70s, Alex Higgins mainly. Second was the 80s, Steve Davis mainly. The final one will be the 90s, Steven Hendry and Jimmy White I believe.

70s was great - memories of watching Pot Black as a kid with me old man.

MS S has enjoyed it too having got into watching snooker with me but not having any 'history' of watching it as a kid.

Defo recommend - if for no other reason to remember what it was like then - ashtrays and ice buckets for the players!

I was listening to the trash men surfing bird on you tube riding my bike thinking I was an attack helicopter which was great..
Then some twat advert came on and just kept going on about diabetes..I blame you lot for my predicament..you never had this problem with a Walkman..
I never had a Walkman so I never had a problem..However I'm certain that a Walkman would not have a twat advert about diabetes...
So for a while I was actually a happy Duck in my own little world of Ducks motorbikes attack helicopters and surfing bird
